Predators Come Back Late, Nip Storm Troopers
The San Antonio Storm Troopers got a superb performance from left fielder Jooki Arroyo, but the Topeka Predators still won the game, 5-4. Arroyo was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Topeka reliever Luis Antonio Rodríguez was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. John Welch took the loss for San Antonio. David Sabaria earned his 1st save in 1 tries.

This game was not decided until José Gallegos came to bat in the top of the ninth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, the Topeka center fielder hit a sacrifice fly. The Predators took the lead, 5-4.

"We've got a great group of guys," Gallegos said, "and we're having fun right now."

The win pushes Topeka to a record of 18-12.
