Late Rally by Red Bulls Secures Win
|
The Riverside Red Bulls scored a 4-3 win versus the Topeka Predators at The Field at Richmond. Riverside shortstop Troy Sutton nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Reliever Lien-ying Mar picked up the win. His record improves to 2-2. César Quintana took the loss. The Red Bulls raised their record to 20-10.
Had Sutton not come through in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Sutton hit a 2-run home run. The Red Bulls never looked back after taking the 4-3 lead.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Topeka manager Noriyori Shirai.
