Hellcats Suffer 3-0 Loss to Cornhuskers

DeKalb right-hander Alan Gorringe was in fine form, shutting out the Jacksonville Hellcats, 3-0. Gusti Kusuma earned the save for DeKalb, his 7th. The win takes DeKalb to 15-13.
Bailey Povey played a key role in the win. The DeKalb catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, Povey was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" DeKalb manager Eduardo Varerla said.
