Ducks Deal Beetlecats 5-2 Setback
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Ken Cashmann, the Long Island Ducks defeated the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 5-2. Cashmann went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Ducks. Long Island is now 12-16.
Long Island grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Cashmann, who is tied for 4th in the FFL in bases on balls with 23, hit a grand slam home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Ducks out in front, 4-1.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Cashmann. "I think we showed that here."
