The Sandy Springs Spartans clobbered the Atlantic City Enforcers, 12-1, at The Coliseum today. Sandy Springs catcher Thomas Bernard was named player of the game for his productive day. He went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. With the win, Sandy Springs pushes its record to 11-16.
Bernard had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the third, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Spartans went on to win.
Atlantic City manager Juan Guerrero was on the defensive afterward. "You can go back and make us look as bad as you want to," he told a reporter, "and then I can throw more numbers at you and make us look better."
