Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Alejandro Marés, the Maple Marauders defeated the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 7-4. Marés went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Marauders. Maple is now 25-10, 3 games up in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.

Marés came through for Maple with two out in the top of the fourth. With Maple tied 3-3, Marés hit a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Marauders up, 5-3.

"Alejandro is still learning," said Marauders manager Jesús Alfaro. "The sky's the limit for him."
