Lights Hang 3-1 Loss on Snaps
|
The Phoenix Lights got a magnificent performance from pitcher Troy Hannah, who stifled the Cincinnati offense en route to a 3-1 Lights win at The Studio. Hannah, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 4 walks. Cecilio Friuli got the save, the 3rd for him this season.
Maximo Sgattoni played a key role in the win for the Lights. The shortstop punched a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning. For the game, Sgattoni was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk.
"I was able to get good plays made behind me," Hannah said. "And I was able to make pitches when I needed to make pitches."
The loss drops Cincinnati to 11-17.
