Streaking Predators Win Another One
|
Archie Hornsby could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Marysville Monarchs lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Topeka Predators at Mitts Fieldhouse. Ross Batstone got the save, the 3rd for him this season. Topeka, now 16-10, has gotten their season off to a good start.
In the top of the eighth inning, first baseman António Trevino had a key at-bat for the Predators. With Topeka leading 2-0, he banged a solo home run.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Topeka manager Noriyori Shirai.
