Bulldogs Stay Hot With 5-4 Win
|
Jacksonville third baseman Yoshinaka Nishimura had a good game, even if his team did not. The Hellcats dropped a 5-4 decision to Spokane at Hellcats Park. Nishimura went 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Jon Keyte got the win, improving to 2-0. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. The win leaves Spokane with a record of 15-11.
Kendrick MacAulay was a key contributor to the win for the Bulldogs. In the top of the seventh with two out, the light-hitting first baseman stroked a single to center. He was 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
