The Carson City Mustang got a strong performance from pitcher Bill Piner, who stymied the Silicon Valley offense en route to a 6-2 win at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Mal Goff earned the save for Carson City, his 5th of the year. The Hackers fall to 10-15 and continue their lackluster start to the 2032 season.
Hitoshi Shibata helped out the Carson City cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the pinch hitter drove in one run.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Shibata.
