Victory Pushes Rats Record to 16-8
|
The Rock River Rats picked up a win at The Rat Hole, knocking off the Cincinnati Snaps, 9-5. On the mound for Rock River was right-hander Jerry English, who played a pivotal role in the win. English, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks. The Rats, now 16-8, have played some good baseball in the early going.
In the bottom of the second inning, Edgar García went deep for the Rats. With Rock River trailing 2-0, he drilled a 2-run home run.
"At least I did my job," García said.
