Predators Edge Spartans, 5-4
|
Sandy Springs center fielder Pat Schmoll had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to Topeka at The Field at Richmond. Schmoll went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Spartans fall to 9-12 and continue their lackluster start in 2032.
The Topeka triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was Roy Sanderson. In the bottom of the 12th, the Topeka left fielder hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 5-4 lead.
"We busted our humps out there," said Sanderson.
