People near The Kennel no doubt heard the roar of the crowd as the winning run crossed the plate.

Spokane beat Carson City at The Kennel, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to second baseman José Castro, who earned player of the game honors. The winner was Kevin Labbee in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Miguel Gonzáles took the loss.

With one out in the bottom of the ninth, Javier Guillén lit into a curveball from Miguel Gonzáles for a solo home run. That made the score 6-5 in favor of the Bulldogs. For the day, Guillén went 1 for 1 with a home run.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Guillén said.

With the loss, Carson City drops to 14-10.
