Spokane rode a decent outing from starter Callum Warner to victory over the Carson City Mustang at The Kennel. The final score was 8-3. The win was credited to Martín Cantú in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Héctor Navarro took the loss. The loss drops Carson City to 14-9.
The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the sixth inning, when the Bulldogs were trailing 3-2. Jeff Butler delivered a two-out 2-run single for Spokane, catapulting his team into the lead.
"The vibe's good," said Spokane manager Chris Carpenter. "We've got to keep it going."
