Hackers Squelch Monarchs Offense in Shutout Win
|
Right-hander Walker Hoekstra mesmerized the Marysville Monarchs while leading the Silicon Valley Hackers to a 6-0 victory. With the loss, Marysville sinks to 12-9.
The Hackers benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the fourth. With Lance Vallery at bat and Silicon Valley leading 1-0, the Marysville miscue allowed Silicon Valley to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.
"We had a nice day," said Silicon Valley skipper Bob Miller.
