Despite a great performance by Rock River third baseman Nobuatsu Nakashima, the San Antonio Storm Troopers defeated the Rats by the score of 6-5 at The Rat Hole. Nakashima went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. John Welch got the save, the 4th for him this season. The win brings the Storm Troopers to 10-8, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

Ricardo Morales's at-bat in the top of the ninth was significant for the Storm Troopers. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and San Antonio leading 5-4, the first baseman drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Morales told the San Antonio Daily.
