Spokane beat Wichita at Howling Park, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Raúl Cortéz, who earned player of the game honors. The Wolverines fall to 8-11 and continue their lackluster start to the 2032 season.
Vicente Gonzáles had a go-ahead single for Spokane in the top of the sixth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the 23-year old left fielder hit a run-scoring single off Carlos Mendoza. His 18th hit of the season made the score 4-3.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Wichita skipper Dave Moran.
