James Thompson was superb against Dallas. The right-hander, who is tied for 5th in the RCL in wins with 4, had a curveball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 4-0 Rhinos victory. John Cosman closed the door for Rubber City, picking up his 1st save of the year. Rubber City is now 24-12, 5 games up in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.

Thompson imposed his will on the Texans, scattering 3 hits over 7.2 innings while striking out 9. The right-hander upped his season record to 4-0.

"I had a good game plan," said Thompson. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Larry Johnson said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
