The Silicon Valley Hackers picked up a win at San Jose Municipal Stadium, knocking off the Marysville Monarchs, 8-1. Starting pitcher Dino De Buono, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. With the win, Silicon Valley pushes its record to 8-11.

Greg Coker took Vincente Cerni deep with no one out in the bottom of the second. On a 3-1 fastball, Coker drilled a 2-run home run to left. It was his 1st home run of the season and put Silicon Valley on top, 2-0.

In postgame comments, Coker told the Silicon Valley News: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
