The Topeka Predators beat the New York Ninjas, 8-3, at The Field at Richmond. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter António Trevino, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win lifts Topeka to a record of 9-9.
Jesús García chipped in for Topeka, stroking a crucial run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Topeka skipper Noriyori Shirai.
