Rams Take Down Lights, 7-4
|
The Frisco Rams topped the Phoenix Lights by the score of 7-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman José Pantoja. Pantoja went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs for the Rams on the day. Frisco reliever Nobutsugu Nakamura was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Seong-rae An took the loss for Phoenix. The Lights fall to 7-12 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2032 season.
Had Steve Yarrigle not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Yarrigle hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Rams.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Pantoja told the Frisco Daily News.
