Hackers Win at Buzzard's Bay, 2-1
|
In a well-pitched game between the Silicon Valley Hackers and the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, pitcher Yoshiaga Adachi was superb. The Silicon Valley right-hander was named the player of the game in Silicon Valley's 2-1 win. Willie Fierro got the save, his 21st in 29 chances. Silicon Valley is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Francisco Germán was vital part of the Silicon Valley win. He went 1 for 4 with a triple. In the top of the fifth with two out, Germán hit a run-scoring triple. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Hackers.
"It's a mindset," said Adachi. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
