The Stogies faced a stiff challenge from Jacksonville pitcher Landy Lu, but persevered to claim a win at Skellington Stadium. The final score was 5-3. Lu went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Abdul Razzaq Kharoti picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-1. Enrique Morales was tagged with the loss. The last-place Jacks have lost 4 straight games.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Chong-yeol Pak came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Jacksonville pitcher Enrique Morales, he hit a 0-1 sinker for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Havana on top, 5-3.
