Delmont Stars in Beehive Win

Madison and Carson City put this game in the books despite some rain.
The Madison Beehive defeated the Carson City Mustang, 8-4, in Bob Moose League action at The Hive, with Madison first baseman Brian Delmont named player of the game. Jonathan Marion picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Shohei Nakayama was tagged with the loss.
Rich Burnes contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he drew a walk. It was one at-bat that helped Madison get the win.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Delmont told the Madison Herald.
Madison is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 6th in 15 games.
