Díaz Dazzles in Boise Win
Both teams had their chances, but the Boise Hawks eventually prevailed at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum.

In a well-pitched game between the Boise Hawks and the Youngstown Tune-Ups, pitcher José Díaz was fantastic. The Boise right-hander was named the player of the game in Boise's 1-0 win. The Tune-Ups fall to 5-8 and continue to sputter in the early going.

It was an impressive outing from the soft-spoken Díaz, who tallied 9 strikeouts in 7.2 innings and allowed only 3 hits. Díaz raised his record to 1-2 on the year with 15 strikeouts.

"I was able to get good plays made behind me," Díaz said. "And I was able to make pitches when I needed to make pitches."
