Ninjas Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
Rock River third baseman Nobuatsu Nakashima had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Nakashima went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3, even as New York beat the Rats, 5-4. Nakashima was named the player of the game despite the loss. With the loss, Rock River is 7-5.

The Ninjas got a lift from second baseman Carlos Gamboa, who in the bottom of the 11th stroked a first pitch fastball into left for a run-scoring single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Ninjas ahead, 5-4.

In postgame comments, Gamboa said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
