The Brooklyn Black Knights scored a 6-5 win versus the Hawaii Islanders at Aloha Stadium. Brooklyn pitcher Jan Shirazi nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Brooklyn reliever Mike MacInroy picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. António Méndez was saddled with the loss. The Black Knights move to 17-17 with the win, while the Islanders drop to 19-14.

Bradley Wolfe delivered a big hit for the Black Knights. The veteran first baseman belted a solo home run in the top of the eighth. The longball put Brooklyn on top, 4-4. Overall, Wolfe was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Brooklyn field general Diego Aguirre.
