Villanueva Hits 2 home runs in Jail Birds Win
In a tight contest at Cobras Ballpark, the Newark Jail Birds edged the Phoenix Lights by the score of 5-4. Newark right fielder Juan Villanueva, who blasted 2 home runs, was named the player of the game. The Jail Birds are off to a tough start, getting just their 4th win in 10 games.

In the bottom of the first inning, Newark got a break when Villanueva went to the plate. With no outs, runners on 1st and 2nd and the Jail Birds leading 1-0, Villanueva hit a 3-run home run.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Jail Birds manager Johan Gillberry. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
