In a close game at Howling Park, the Wichita Wolverines edged the San Antonio Storm Troopers, 3-2. Wichita shortstop Manny Gonzáles earned the nod as player of the game. He was 1 for 1 with 2 walks. Pedro Galló was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save. The Wolverines raised their record to 4-4.
Shane Gross broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the fourth with a run-scoring single. It put the Wolverines in front, 3-2. For the game, Gross was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"I was a little disappointed," said San Antonio manager Tex Strong. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
