Mustang Fall Short at Cincinnati
The Cincinnati Snaps faced a tough opponent in Carson City pitcher Jeff Duff, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Studio by a final score of 3-2. Duff went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The win was credited to Sergio Rodríguez in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Miguel Gonzáles took the loss. The save went to Keith Smith, his 1st this season.

Jhong-shun Shang provided some late-game drama. In the bottom of the eighth, with no one out and the bases loaded, Shang hit a run-scoring single. It helped Cincinnati take the lead and grab the win.

"We were in it," said Carson City manager Nobuharu Chikafuji. "We just didn't score enough runs."

The Mustang, now 7-3, have been pitiful so far.
