Red Bulls Edge Hellcats, 7-6
|
Jacksonville got a terrific performance from first baseman Sergio Aragón, but it wasn't enough to beat the Riverside Red Bulls. Riverside won the Red Bull Stadium contest, 7-6. Aragón was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The loss drops Jacksonville to 3-6.
Riverside grabbed a 7-5 lead in the bottom of the sixth when Hsui-chuan Fung hit a 2-run single. For the day, Fung was 1 for 3 with 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Jacksonville manager Pete Dellow. "The effort was great."
