Gates Leads Wolverines to 3-0 Win over Storm Troopers
In a well-pitched game between the Wichita Wolverines and the San Antonio Storm Troopers, pitcher Dennis Gates was fantastic. The Wichita right-hander was named the player of the game in Wichita's 3-0 win. The loss lowers the San Antonio record to 4-3.

Gates earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Wichita. The native of Pickering, Canada allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 8. San Antonio hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Gates said.
