In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Benefiting from Vicente Ortega's productive game, the Pacifica Shamrocks downed the Phoenix Lights, 9-3. Ortega was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Shamrocks. The Shamrocks, now 6-1, have stormed out of the gates.
Pacifica third baseman Francisco Molina made his contribution to the Shamrocks cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning. For the day, Molina was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Molina said. "That's how it goes."
