Cornhuskers Lose to Ninjas in Walk Off
|
The New York Ninjas picked up a win at Confucius Field, knocking off the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 4-3. Starting pitcher Lourenço Russa, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The winner was New York reliever Jim Unknown, now 1-0. The loser was David Gilmour. The Ninjas, now 2-4, have not found much traction so far in 2032.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the tenth. With New York trailing 3-1, Logan Moran hit a fastball from David Gilmour to left for a 3-run home run. Just like that, the Ninjas had a walk-off win.
"Lourenço was pounding the zone," said New York manager Casey Ramey.
