Dunn Stars in Hackers Win
|
San Jose Municipal Stadium was the site for Cory Lidle League action featuring the Jacksonville Hellcats and Silicon Valley Hackers.
Silicon Valley center fielder Giichiro Dunn was instrumental in his team's 9-1 win over the Jacksonville Hellcats. Dunn, who was drafted in the two round of the 2030 draft, went 2-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Hackers. Silicon Valley reliever Dino De Buono was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Ed Benner.
Silicon Valley grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Dunn, who was drafted in the two round of the 2030 draft, hit a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season put the Hackers out in front, 3-1.
"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Pete Dellow.
The loss drops Jacksonville to 2-3.
