Big Day by Wedemeyer Sparks Tune-Ups Win
|
The Youngstown Tune-Ups downed the Frisco Rams, 8-3, at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Nick Wedemeyer led the way, going 4-for-5 for Youngstown. Luis Vásquez picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 4 in 7.1 innings. The Tune-Ups, with only their 1st win in 4 games, have not had much to write home about in 2032.
The fans who came in support of the Tune-Ups were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum.
"Nice to get this one," said Wedemeyer. "Wins have been hard to come by."
