A nice crowd turned out to see the Frisco Rams and Youngstown Tune-Ups clash at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum.
The Frisco Rams grabbed a 8-2 win over the Youngstown Tune-Ups at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Frisco center fielder Rafael Vázquez was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 to earn player of the game honors. The winner was Tim Lush in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jay Coxford took the loss.
Frisco took a 6-1 lead on Vázquez's 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Nathan Briggs in the top of the seventh, propelled Frisco to the win.
Youngstown manager Jacob Gaines said his team was "out of sync."
With the win, Frisco is 3-1.
