Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Rams
Fans who congregated at San Jose Municipal Stadium were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Frisco Rams wiggled past the Silicon Valley Hackers, 9-8, at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Frisco right fielder Iván Romo earned player of the game honors. The win was credited to Ruggiero Valturri in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Willie Fierro took the loss.

Frisco first baseman Stanton Miller gave his club a productive at-bat in the top of the ninth inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Rams trailing 8-6, Miller hit a 2-run double.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Frisco manager Rafael Castillo.

With the win, Frisco pushes its record to 2-1.
