In a low-scoring affair between the San Antonio Storm Troopers and the Carson City Mustang, pitcher Jorge García was the difference between victory and defeat. The San Antonio right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 Storm Troopers win. San Antonio reliever En-guo Guan was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Mal Goff took the loss for Carson City. San Antonio, at 2-0, is off to a blistering start.

The Storm Troopers were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when right fielder Kuniyasu Sato turned a full count fastball from Mal Goff into a 2-run triple. The walk-off triple electrified the The Clone Army denizens and sent the Storm Troopers home with a thrilling 3-2 win.

"This place was electric at the end," Sato said.
