Hackers Drop Rams with Late Score
|
The Silicon Valley Hackers satisfied the home crowd at San Jose Municipal Stadium, treating them to a season-opening win, 5-2, over the Frisco Rams. Starting Pitcher James Crowe was named player of the game for Silicon Valley.
Had Dan Weston not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Weston hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Hackers.
"It feels good to get this one," Weston told the Silicon Valley News.
