Wolverines Hope Opening Day Win Bodes Well for Season
The 2032 season is off to a good start for the Wichita Wolverines. The hometown Wolverines dumped the Madison Beehive, 6-2, at Howling Park. Willis Pierce spearheaded the win. He was 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Wichita reliever Chris Shaw, now 1-0. The loser was César González. Pedro Galló recorded the save for Wichita, his 1st of the season.

Ernesto Andrade aided the Wichita cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder drew 4 walks.
