Barlow Goes Wild, But Freedom Win
Peoria center fielder Francis Barlow was sensational. He was 4-4 with 2 home runs, a triple, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Philadelphia beat the Caterpillars, 7-4. Barlow was named the player of the game despite the loss. Juan Ramírez closed the door for Philadelphia, picking up his 3rd save of the year. The Freedom sit in second place in the Darryl Kile League Cito Gaston League with a record of 93-69.

Tied up with the Caterpillars in the top of the sixth inning, the Freedom got a boost from shortstop Armando Espinoza. With the bases empty, Espinoza saw a 1-1 curveball from Juan Martínez and hit a solo home run to break the stalemate and put Philadelphia on top, 3-2.

Espinoza told a Philadelphia Today reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
