Loss to Racers Extends Scranton Losing Streak
The Racers grabbed a win, 6-5, at Hell Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Scranton pitcher Yong-kook Chong. Chong went 6.1 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Bowling Green starter Harlan Rudy was credited with the win after throwing 101 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 3-2. Barry Sherman finished to wrap up his 8th save.

Had Kwang-rak Song not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Song hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Racers.

"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Julián Cancil. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."

The slumping Escape have lost 6 straight.
