|
Fort Worth designated hitter Ken Paul made his presence felt in the 7-1 Cats triumph over the Indian Wells Aeropostales. Paul went 3-5 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win was credited to Sumitomo Kondo in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Miguel Bernal took the loss. Robby Guzman earned the save, his 40th.
Ron Woods's at-bat in the top of the fourth inning was a big one for Fort Worth. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Fort Worth leading 1-0, the second baseman reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run.
"I felt good up there," said Paul. "I saw the ball well."
