Silver Lake catcher Andrew Spence had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Spence went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2, even as Acapulco beat the Baristas, 11-10. Spence was named the player of the game despite the loss. Acapulco reliever Fabio de Kroon was credited with the win, to go to 6-5. Carl Veeck took the loss for Silver Lake. John Freemann earned the save for Acapulco, his 5th of the year.

Ronald Sanders aided the Acapulco cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder was 1-3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Sanders said.

Acapulco bumps their record to 76-84 with the win.
