Chicago right-hander Mai Do helped his team edge Acapulco by the score of 3-2. Do kept the opposing lineup in check. Do got the win, improving to 8-4. He allowed 6 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. Do allowed 2 earned runs. Sherwin Aberin closed the door for Chicago, picking up his 6th save of the year.

The Chicago win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Eric Humphrey. In the bottom of the seventh, the Chicago right fielder came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 3-2 lead.

"Sometimes, you can be too aggressive," said Acapulco manager John Perry. "You need to let the game come to you."

Acapulco is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 8 in a row.
