Bombers Walk Off with Win
|
The South Carolina Bombers wiggled past the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 4-3, at Bomber Ballpark. South Carolina pitcher Prince Percival Papenfuss earned player of the game honors. Juan Manuel, credited with the win, is now 1-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. The loss drops Cabo San Lucas to 13-18.
Late in the game, third baseman Ken Abbott had a big at-bat for South Carolina. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single off Paco Berroa. The play gave the Bombers a 4-3 lead.
"We did enough to win," said Abbott.
