Astoria rode a decent outing from starter Mike Taylor to victory over the Antioch Coal Miners at Golden Fleece Park. The final score was 5-3. Ronald Lee was credited with the save for Astoria, his 9th of the season. Astoria goes to 71-86, Antioch to 108-50.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Mendel Israel went deep for the Argonauts. With Astoria trailing 1-0, he drilled a solo home run.
