The Fort Worth Cats picked up a win at Stanley Park, knocking off the Vancouver Canadians, 9-6. Starting pitcher Austin Meyers, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The winner was Fort Worth reliever Juan Carlos Baraja, now 8-1. The loser was Cai-fei Men. Fort Worth has 3 straight wins, Vancouver 3 straight losses.

This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the 13th, Shimpei Fujita hit a sacrifice fly. The Cats took the lead, 7-6.

"It was terrific getting this win," Meyers said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
