Racers Win at Silver Lake, 4-2
|
The Bowling Green Racers topped the Silver Lake Baristas, 4-2, in Nick Adenhart League action at Ashton Gate. The player of the game was Bowling Green pitcher Harlan Rudy. Rudy went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-2. Barry Sherman earned the save for Bowling Green, his 7th of the year.
Arnáo Reininho didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring double to put Bowling Green on top, 1-0.
"We put together a nice win," Rudy said.
With the win over Silver Lake, the Racers improved to 86-70.
